Looking to avoid interactions with certain people on Havit? Our Contact Blocking feature allows you to manage who you see on the platform by blocking contacts from your device’s contact list. While you can’t block individuals one by one, you can update your contact blocking settings in bulk to ensure a safer experience on Havit.

Important notes about this feature:

Blocked contacts will not be notified that they’ve been blocked.
Blocking someone doesn’t necessarily mean they have a Havit account.
Blocking contacts doesn’t affect your current matches or messages.
If the contact information you use to block someone doesn’t match what they used to sign up, we may not be able to prevent you from seeing each other.
You can stop sharing your contacts with the Contact Blocking feature in your Havit settings.
If you prefer not to grant access to your contacts, we offer a manual contact entry option.

How do I share my contacts with Havit to block them?

It’s easy! Here’s how you can share your contact list and block contacts in bulk:

Open Havit and tap the profile icon.
On the profile page, tap the settings icon located at the top right corner.
In the settings page, select "Block Contacts."
Grant Havit permission to access your contacts.
Once granted, your entire contact list will be blocked from interacting with you on Havit.

While you currently can’t block or unblock contacts individually, you can manage the overall blocking settings through this process.

How do I unblock contacts?

To unblock all contacts at once in Havit’s Contact Blocking feature, follow these steps:

Open Havit and tap the profile icon.
On the profile page, tap the settings icon at the top right corner.
Select "Block Contacts."
Tap "Unblock All" from the settings menu.

How can I stop sharing my device’s contact list with Havit?

If you decide to stop sharing your contact list with this feature, follow these steps:

Follow steps 1 - 3 above.
Tap the menu icon in the top right-hand corner.
Select "Disconnect Contact List."

Disconnecting your contact list won’t affect your existing blocked contacts. For your privacy, those contacts will remain blocked until you choose to unblock them.

How does Havit handle my contact list?

If you opt-in to this feature, we use your contact list to help you manage who you want to block on Havit. Each time you access the Block Contacts feature, we’ll retrieve your contact list so you can manage who is blocked. After you exit the feature, we will only keep the contact information (name, email, and/or phone number) of those you’ve blocked. This information helps us ensure that you and your blocked contacts don’t see each other on the platform, provided they signed up with the same contact information you used.
